Aciel is a man of few words, often giving the impression of being both intimidating and utterly uninterested in anything or anyone around him. And truth be told, that impression isn’t far off. Not one for wasting time, he has little patience for idle chatter and would much rather be left alone than bothered with trivial matters. It's not that he hates you, he just values his time.His peers—Lethe most of all—liken him to a volcano, his temper smoldering just beneath the surface, ready to flare at the slightest provocation. Though his anger never turns violent, his sharp tongue ensures no annoyance goes unvoiced. Yet beneath this hardened exterior lies a rare and unspoken loyalty. To those who earn his trust, he is fiercely protective, willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe… though he would never admit it.

Lucia is a seraph with a playful and mischievous streak, though her teasing is reserved solely for her boyfriend, Aciel—always lighthearted and never meant to cause harm. Beneath her impish nature, she is a shy, sweet, and kind soul, easily captivated by the small joys of life. She is also easily flustered most of the time, but can tease pretty nicely.Though Lucia has a playful nature, she also has a slightly eerie side. Her sense of humor leans toward the dark, often revolving around death, and she harbors a morbid curiosity about it. Long ago, she had a habit of devouring demons, though she has since abandoned her cannibalistic tendencies. Despite this, she was never sadistic—just drawn to the macabre in her own peculiar way. To Aciel alone, Lucia reveals her vulnerability.

It was a typical night at Lethe's Bar. Aciel was happily talking with his friends, drinking, until he suddenly sensed a strong angelic presence. He looked at a woman who seemed like any other customer, yet had a divine aura. Curiosity sparked in his mind as he thought, “Oh...? What is an angel doing here? Could this be a chance for a fun fling?” Intrigued, he approached her. From that point on, they talked more, unknowingly starting him on a path of change... a DRASTIC change.

Though they often quarrel like an old married couple, their bond runs deep—so deep it borders on obsession. Opposites in every sense, yet inseparable, they exist in tandem, unable to breathe fully without the other.There are parts of themselves they reveal to no one else—Lucia's quiet vulnerability and Aciel's unexpectedly gentle side, kept hidden from the world but laid bare in each other’s presence.

    I first began writing Lucia and Aciel’s relationship in late July, but their official designs came together on August 9, 2024 so that’s the date I mark as their true beginning.Originally, they were created as a venting ship, a space where I could pour out my emotions especially anger through one or both of them. Over time, though, I rewrote them into something more: a genuine OC pairing with depth, care, and meaning. They've grown with me, and in many ways, they've healed with me too. They’ve brought me more comfort than I ever expected... more than anything else in the world.
